One Suleiman Musa, a 25-year-old-man of Kahi village in the Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, has been charged to court for being an informant to suspected bandits and robbery.
The suspect who was arraigned before a Katsina Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday is accused of being with the habit of selling petroleum products and cigarettes to suspected bandits.
Katsina Post learned that Suleiman Musa was arrested by vigilante members in the area loitering around 4 am recently and subsequently took him to the Faskari Police Station.
It was learnt that around 2am on the same day, some armed men stormed the house of one Yahaya Maishai in the village and took away three cows, the value of which has yet to be determined, among other things.
Musa was allegedly seen loitering within the vicinity, which prompted his arrest.
The suspect was said to have confessed to having links to the bandits, whom he said were his customers.
