The Aliko Dangote Foundation has donated no fewer than thirty-two thousand boxes of assorted food items to internally displaced persons and other people in need in Katsina State.
The was disclosed by one Hajiya Sutura Aisha Bello who led a delegation of the foundation to the office of the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu for a courtesy visit.
According to her, the FOUNDATION donated thirty-two thousand boxes of assorted food items to internally displaced persons and other people in need.
She explained that the foundation designed to distribute the items together with the government officials.
Also speaking the Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Alh Babangida Muhammad Nasamu Said the Items donated include spaghetti, macaroni flour, Maggi among others.
Executive secretary SEMA noted that the gesture will be distributed to the thirty-four local government of the state with the special emphasis on the frontiers local government areas in the state.
While making comments, Katsina State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu acknowledged the effort of donor agencies and other non-governmental organization towards assisting the internally displaced persons in the state.
Mannir Yakubu expressed the state government gratitude to the Aliko Dangote Foundation for the gesture pointing out that the foundation was the first from the outside the state that donates relief materials to the internally displaced persons in the state.
