Masari’s former S. A., Comrade Ruwangodiya released by his abductors
Reports reaching us at Katsina Post has it that Comrade Bashir Usman Ruwangodiya, a lecturer with Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic and former Special Adviser to Katsina State Governor on Higher Education has regained his freedom after being released by his abductors.
Unconfirmed reports also have it that an undisclosed sum of money was paid to the abductors before he was released.
He was released on Friday evening after spending hours with the abductors in an unknown location.
Recall that Bashir Ruwangodiya has been reportedly held by abductors while trying to deliver ransom money for an earlier abducted colleague.
Kidnappers had a day earlier taken away Dr. Bello Birchi from his country home, Tashar Bara’u in Kurfi LGA and demanded ransom for his release.
Ruwangodiya, who was said to be taking an undisclosed ransom to the kidnappers after a deal was reached, was held back by the abductors.
