Breaking: Masari appoint DG, Katsina State Health Care Contributory Agency
The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari has approved the appointment of Muhammad Tukur Ibrahim Safana as the substantive Director General of the newly established Katsina State Health Care Contributory Agency.
This was contained in an appointment letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa dated 31st May 2019 and seen by Katsina Post.
According to the letter, the appointment is based on the conviction that he will serve faithfully, diligently and in the best interest of the service.
Recall that Aminu Bello Masari has on Thursday, being the 27th of December 2018 signed into law the bill for the establishment of Katsina State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KTSCHMA).
The agency is shouldered with the responsibility of promoting, regulating, supervising and ensuring the effective administration of the healthcare scheme.
Amongst others, the objectives of the scheme are to protect families from the financial hardship of huge medical bills, limit the inflationary rise in the cost of healthcare services; ensure equitable distribution of healthcare costs across different income groups and maintenance of a high standard of healthcare delivery services in the state.
