Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State who is the third Governor of Katsina in this Republic After Late Ummaru Musa ‘Yar’adua, Barr. Ibrahim Shema has been sworn-in today for his Second and last term as Governor.

Aminu Bello Masari was born on 29th May 1950 at Masari village in Kafur Local Government. Coincidentally, he is 69 years old today.
Aminu Masari attended Masari and Malumfashi Primary Schools before proceeding Government Secondary School Funtua.
He worked as a civil servant in the Water Board section where he rose from Technical Assistant in 1969 to Assistant General Manager in 1991.
In 1992, Governor Aminu Bello Masari was appointed as the Honourable Commissioner of Works, Housing and Transport by the then Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Sa’idu Barda.
He was elected to represent the people of Kafur, Danja and Malumfashi at the Constitutional conference in 1993 and later as House of Representative of Malumfashi/Kafur Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 1999 and 2003 when he became Speaker of the House.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari was conferred with the National award of honor as the Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) in 2005.
His traditional titles include; Dallatun Katsina, Matawallen Hausa, Shetiman Agala, Enyi Dinamba 1 of Eduwana Edida, Akinjagumolu of the Source.
He was conferred with Honorary Doctorate Degrees by Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, University of Nigeria, Nsukka among others.
