Breaking: Governor Masari travel to Abuja to meet Buhari over insecurity in Katsina
The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has left Katsina for Abuja in the afternoon hours of today, Wednesday, 22nd May 2019 to meet President Muhammadu Buhari.
Katsina Post learns that his visit is not unconnected with the deteriorating nature of security in Katsina and other Northwestern states including Kaduna, Sokoto, and Zamfara.
Recall that, while addressing a group of protesters who took the corpses of their relatives killed by bandits in Batsari on Tuesday to the Governor, he said he will be meeting with the President today.
“I feel it better than you feel because I know Allah will ask me on the Day of Judgement.
“It is our duty to protect lives and property in the state, yet, this is what is happening, we are doing our best.
“You bear me witness that wherever such incident occurred, I visit the community and tell them our commitment toward addressing the menace.
“We are going to table the problem of insecurity challenges bedeviling all the northern states before Mr. President tomorrow (today),” he said.
