Masari distributes Ramadan, empowerment packages to APC members
Governor Aminu Bello Masari has distributed empowerment packages to members of APC in Funtua zone as provided by the outgoing senator representing katsina south in the National Assembly, senator Abu Ibrahim.
Hassan Muhammad Tukur, Government House, Press Centre, Katsina, items distributed include 55 motorcycles, 110 grinding machines, 55 seeing machines, 550 water pumping machines for dry season farming and 50 welding machines.
Others distributed include 1500 bags of millet, 500 bags of rice and 500 bags of sugar as relief to party faithfuls during the forthcoming Ramadan fasting.
Speaking shortly before launching the distribution of the items, Governor Aminu Bello Masari expressed gratitude to the senator for sustaining the provision of of the empowerment packages to members of APC throughout his tenure in office.
The Governor used the occasion to dispel the claim that government is not doing anything to curtail the cases of banditry and kidnappings in the state.
He recalled incidences where security agents either lost their lives or were injured in an effort to ensure peace is restored.
Therefore, he said government had been loosing not only resources but personnel in the fight against banditry, kidnappings and other crimes.
Earlier, Senator Abu Ibrahim expressed appreciation to the electorates in Funtua zone for the opportunity to represent them for twelve years in that capacity.
He assured that the empowerment packages would be sustained through the Abu Ibrahim Foundation he established to be run by his eldest son, Muhammad.
Several goodwill messages were delivered by the state Deputy speaker, Engineer Usman Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki, the state Deputy chairman of APC, Alhaji Amadu Danmallam, the state vice chairman Alhaji Bala Abubakar Musawa , the chairman of APC in kankara, Alhaji Badamasi Pawwa, the transition committee chairman in kankara, Alhaji Anas Isa among others.
