Armed bandits have reportedly attacked Gobirawa village in Safana Local Government of Katsina State on Tuesday night.
As a result of the attack, Katsina Post gathered the residents of the community were able to recover no fewer than 17 dead bodies while the search continues as at the time of filling in this report.
According to a resident of a nearby settlement of Runka village, Usman Haruna unidentified number of people were currently missing as a result of the attack.
Katsina Post also spoke with the Honourable member representing Safana Local Government in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Abduljalal Runka who expressed his fears about other impending attacks and called on security agents to come to there rescue.
“We were at the Gobirawa Community until midnight yesterday trying to repel the attackers. This morning, we are currently in the community to bury the dead.
“This is not the first time this is happening here, communities of Illela and Guzurawa in less than three days were attacked.” He said.
Recall that the bandits on motorcycles, numbering over 200, according to locals attacked the community chanting war songs.
