The Federal Government has inaugurated new drainage systems in the Mai Adua Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The project is an intervention to address instances of gully erosion and flooding constantly experienced in the Area.
The Mai’Adua community located in Daura has suffered flooding and gully erosion which has left the area in a deplorable state.
The persistent flooding has resulted in a huge loss of lives and properties which has become a cause for concern to residents in the community.
Representing the President at the commissioning of the project, Senator George Akume said the project was in fulfillment of the promise made by the Buhari Administration to ensure that no part of the country is left to suffer neglect.
The government hopes that the Project will create windows of opportunities for residents and neighboring communities.
Residents of the community are delighted by this landmark achievement but also want more interventions from the Federal Government.
