Ahead of minimun wage struggle, Katsina workers elect new NLC leaders

Workers in Katsina State has elected Comrade Hamisu Hussaini ‘Yanduna as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) for the next four (4) years.

Hamisu Hussaini according to Katsina Post checks emerged winner of the election of the Congress that was conducted on Thursday 24th April 2019.

The new NLC chairman also doubled as National Vice President, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, North West.

Comrade Hamisu Hussaini ‘Yanduna suceeded Comrade Tanimu Saulawa.

Other Executives of the NLC elected are Abubakar G. Ibrahim as 1st VC, Bashir Ahmad as 2nd VC, Haruna Mamman as Treasurer, Jamilu Abdullahi Saulawa as Auditor I, Tasi’u Musa as Auditor II, Musli Junaidu and Nana Lawal Galadinchi as Ex-Officio I and II.

Pundits in the state are of the opinion that the new NLC leaders will have to face the struggle of the implementation of the new minimum wage in the state.
