The National Association of Katsina State Students (NAKATSS National Body) in its new humanitarian gesture will train 300 students on ‘Skills Acquisition’ for self-reliant.
The Vice President (External Affairs) of the Association, Comrade Aliyu Usman A.M.D stated this in an interview with reporters in Katsina.
According to him, the programme is to compliments Governor Aminu Masari’s effort on youth’s empowerment, employability and Entrepreneurship skills in Katsina state.
He said the NAKATSS would provide the participants with skills in Cosmetology, Satellite Installation, Makeup, Poultry Production, Fish Farming, amongst others.
Mr. Usman further revealed that the programme is absolutely free from all charges noting that certificate will be issued to the participants at the completion of the training.
“The skills acquisition programme organized by NAKATSS is first of its kind since the establishment of the Association”. He said
He said the skills acquisition programme is aimed at reducing unemployment, youth restiveness as well as ensure that the young people are empowered to be self-reliant.
He, however, enjoined the participants to make the judicious use of the knowledge acquired throughout the programme.
