Katsina Assembly summons Commissioner Zakka over LGAs revenue
The Katsina State Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abdulkadir Ahmad Zakka has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing budget defense of Local Governments in the state House of Assembly.
The Commissioner made this known shortly after appearing before the House Committee on Local Governments and Emirate Affairs headed by the member representing Kafur Local Government, Hon. Garba Hussaini Dankanjiba earlier this week.
“Honestly speaking, I am impressed with how the Honorable members are conducting the exercise, there is great progress compared to how the process was conducted last year.” He said.
“I was invited before the Committee to explain some certain gray areas which I did and they were all impressed. I even advised them on how to improve on certain things. We are all happy.” He added.
Katsina Post checks however gathered that the House Committee on Local Governments and Emirate Affairs are particularly not happy with the way local governments in the state are handling the issue of revenue generation.
