Katsina State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party and its governorship candidate, Yakubu Lado, on Saturday night filed a petition at the state election petition tribunal.
The duo are challenging the re-election of the state governor, Aminu Masari, of the APC during the March 9 governorship election.
In the petition, the PDP and its candidate claimed that Masari does not have the educational qualifications to contest the election.
According to them, the governorship election was marred by widespread malpractices which they alleged affected all the 34 local government areas of the state.
They however, demand the tribunal to nullify the election and order a fresh one.
