Uncertainty, lobbying intensified by top politicians as Masari set to form new cabinet
There is currently intense lobbying and palpable uncertainty within some top politicians in the state as the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari set to form his new government cabinet.
Katsina Post learned that some top politicians are now being seen spending most of their day in the government House especially when the Governor is around, probably ‘showing their faces’ and reaffirming their loyalty to the Governor.
The Houses of some ‘top’ government functionaries believed to be ‘kingmakers’ or so to say are now becoming pilgrimage-like sites were politicians are seeing spending most of their day especially in the night trying to have their support.
On the other hand, according to an insider in the APC, the Governor is having a very tough time in trying to form his next cabinet.
“You see, the Governor is a good man and he doesn’t want to offend any camp within the party. He is definitely not having it easy in forming his next cabinet especially now that the APC in the state has many newcomers after the 2015 election.” He said.
But pundits in the state are of the opinion that the Governor may likely expand his government this time around by increasing the number of his commissioners, Special Advisers, and Special Assistants in order to accommodate many vested interests within the APC.
