2019 election: 5 people who contributed most to Masari’s reelection bid

The 2019 general elections have been won and lost in Katsina in what can be rightly termed as a largely peaceful exercise.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also won all the electable offices in the State from the National Assembly to State Assembly and Governorship seats.

The gubernatorial election keenly contested by Governor Aminu Bello Masari and Senator Yakubu Lado and was won by the former.

Bellow are some people that contributed immensly to the Governor’s re-election:

Mustapha Inuwa

The Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS) is believed to be the most influential person in Governor Masari’s government.

He chairs the campaign committee for the governorship election of 2019 and had been in charge of all that happened during the campaign so also carries all the accolades for the successes achieved.

He is a dogged fighter, good crowd mobilizer, and an effective campaign planner.

Hajiya Mariyatu Bala Usman

No doubt, women contributed immensely to the success achieved by APC in Katsina and were arguably the large voting block that voted for Governor Aminu Bello Masari.

If that is to go by, then, no doubt that the Katsina State’s Honourable Commissioner of Health, Hajiya Mariyatu Bala Usman is among those who led the women-wing of the campaign for Governor Masari’s re-election.

Hajiya Mariyatu had through her ‘APC Sak movement’ mobilized women and campaigned for not only Governor Masari’s re-election but also all other candidates of the APC at all levels during the campaign.

The Commissioner of Health went to even the remotest villages to campaigned for APC and mobilized them on election day.

Hajiya Badiyya Hassan Mashi

The Katsina State Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hajiya Badiyya Hassan Mashi also contributed immensely to the successes of Governor Masari’s re-election bid.

Hajiya Badiyya had through various empowerment – both personal and the ministry’s- programmes mobilized women for the re-election of Governor Masari.

The Commissioner was busy during the campaign visiting communities, villages and also attending to people in need always.

Hon. Musa Adamu

Honorable Musa Adamu Funtua, Dan Kafin Hausa and former member House of Assembly member also contributed immensely to the success of Governor Masari’s re-election bid.

After his defection from the PDP to APC, Musa Adamu adapted almost immediately and keyed into the restoration agenda of the Masari’s led administration.

He was also believed to have started the mobilization and defection of some other PDP chieftains which arguably and reasonably weakened the opposition party in the state.

He was also said to be very crucial to the successes of APC especially in Funtua zone.

S.A. Sabo Musa

Special Assistant to the Governor Aminu Bello Masari on Restoration, Alhaji Sabo Musa also contributed immensely to the success of Governor Masari’s re-election bid.

His voice is popular in almost every resident of the state because of programs he ran on various media platforms both conventional and social.

Alhaji Sabo is also the State Chairman of the popular Masari Restoration Awareness forum (MRAF) which main aim is to showcase various achievements of the Masari’s restoration agenda.
