Suspected armed bandits kill 12 in Katsina community
Some people suspected to be armed bandits had reportedly attack Kasai community, Batsari Local Government area of Katsina State in the early hours of Tuesday.
Katsina Post learned that the bandits carrying dangerous weapons reportedly stormed the village and killed no fewer than 12 residents including women and children while also rustling ‘many’ cattle and other livestock belonging to the villagers.
The Katsina State Police command is yet to issue a statement on the issue as at the time of filing this report but Katsina State government has already issued a statement condoling the relatives of the deceased.
Recall that the Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari is currently in Abuja for a working visit in his quest to arrest the current growing insecurity and wanton killings of innocent souls in the state by armed bandits.
Masari disclosed this while fielding questions from State House correspondents after a private meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said he was at the Presidential Villa to congratulate the President, Muhammadu Buhari and vice president on their re-election.
