World Border Security Congress: Man from Katsina T. S. Saulawa to feature as speakers

The World Border Security Congress aims to promote collaboration, inter-agency cooperation and intelligence sharing amongst border agencies in order to tackle emerging cross border security challenges that pertain in today’s global environment.

The 2019 conference slated for 19th – 21st March, 2019 in Casablanca, Morocco, will feature Deputy Superintendent, Nigeria customs service Sanusi Tasiu Saulawa B.Sc, DIT, PDCS, MCMP, MIAD, MPhil, Ph.D (In View) as one of the speakers to deliver on the ‘Role of Intelligence in Border Security.’

In a related development, the World Bank’s Community and Social development Project in Katsina has disbursed N58m to seven communities for the execution of micro-projects in their respective areas.

The benefiting communities are Pawwa and Mabai in Kankara LGA, Kabomo and Layin Rama in Bakori LGA, Majan Gobir in Rimi LGA and Raddawa and Machika in Mani LGA.

Arewa Trust reports that the micro-projects to be executed include construction and renovation of classrooms, clinics, drilling of boreholes, construction of drains as well as construction and rehabilitation of rural roads.

Speaking at the pre-disbursement training and presentation of cheques, the Acting General Manager of CSDP, Mohammed Abdulaziz, said the aim of the training was to enlighten the communities on standard procedures of executing the projects.
