Katsina gov’t shows 300 medical students with N63m scholarship
Katsina state government has released the sum of N63 million for the payment of the allowances of its more than 300 medical students, the General Manager of the State Hospital Services Management Board, Dr. Abduljalil Abdullahi, has said.
Abdullahi, in a statement made available to newsmen by the Public Relation Officer of the board, Mohammad Ahmed, said the allowances were for the students studying both at home and abroad.
He said, the beneficiaries should complement governments effort by concentrating on their studies adding that “the administration has created an enabling environment to improve health care delivery in the state’’.
Arewa Trust reports that the state government has set aside 13.94 percent of its 2019 budget, which is N20.6 billion, for the health sector.
