2019 elections: Katsina APC chairman predicts likelihood of Buhari’s defeat

The ruling APC has challenges in the North – West and can only be assured of winning Katsina and Jigawa States in the fourth coming General Elections, Chairman of the Party in Katsina State, Alhaji Shitu S Shitu has confirmed.

Alhaji Shitu expressed the Probability of the Party not winning elections in Kano, Zamfara and Sokoto States due to some series of problems.

According to him, there is a looming danger if the current trend is maintained without any serious intervention from all stakeholders in respect of the fate of President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the coming election.

The Katsina State APC Chairman was speaking on behalf of the State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari during the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) Endowment Program held at the Old Government House in Katsina Metropolis.

“In Kano, State Kwankwaso has left the Party, In Zamfara State the Party has no Candidate and the Party has lost Sokoto State.

“The seven states in the Northwest produced almost half of the total number of votes for the President in 2015 with all other states of the federation producing the other half when the APC is relatively at peace with them.” Alhaji Shitu S Shitu has revealed.

He charged Women in Katsina to double their efforts for the actualisation of the Party’s target of getting Three Million Votes for President Muhammadu Buhari during the elections.

Alhaji Shitu S Shitu appealed to various groups of the APC to work hard across the State for victory.

The Nigerian Port Authority’s Endowment Program was done Courtesy of its Managing Director, Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman who is an indigene of Katsina State.

Beneficiaries of the program were 330 Men and women from Katsina Zone, 180 in Daura Zone and 190 from Funtua Zone respectively.

Items distributed include:- Sewing Machines, Pumps Irrigation Machines and Grinding Machines as well as Cash of Ten Thousand Naira for each to Tea Sellers Association.
