The Katsina State Police command has reacted to the story of people from Jibia and neighbouring communities bordering Niger Republic relocating to the neighbouring country from protection due to incessant kidnapping ravaging the communities.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Gambo Isah, the command urges members of the public to disregard the publication as unsubstantiated as there is no any official communication between the security agencies of both countries informing them, of any Nigerian citizen from Jibia that relocated to Niger Republic as a refugee.
The statement also asked members of the public not to panic, but to be security conscious and to report any suspicious persons or group to the Police, or other security agencies deployed to check criminality in their places.
