APC Akida Vs APC: Federal High Court Abuja transfers case to Katsina
Justice Folashade Giwa-Ogunbanjo of the Federal High Court, Abuja had transferred the suit seeking the nullification of wards, local government and the state congresses of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina State before it filed by the APC Akida faction to Katsina.
The judge made this pronouncement on Wednesday 9th January 2019 in the continuation of the case before her.
In her verdict, the presiding judge, Justice Folashade ruled that the case transferred to Katsina and be joined with other similar case filed by the same party members challenging the conduct of the APC congress in the state.
Recall that two governorship aspirants of APC in Katsina filed a case at the Federal High Court praying the court to nullify, invalidate and set aside the purported congresses claimed to have been conducted by the APC in all the wards and local government areas of Katsina State in May this year.
They alleged that the APC did not comply with any known law before coming to the wrongful conclusion that officers have been elected for the wards and local governments in Katsina State.
