Katsina gov’t to access $18m ‘grant’ from world bank

The Katsina state government is to access 18 million dollars grant from the the world bank to enhance youth empowerment and social stability operations across the state.

This was made known through Special adviser to the government on youth, Ibrahim Khalil Aminu while presenting department’s budget before the Katsina state House of assembly last week.

According to Khalil, Zamfara state has already accessed it’s grant while Katsina state government looking forward accessing her’s before the end of January 2019.

More so, Mr. Ibrahim added that the government will ensure optimal utilization of the grant to address the threat of unemployment among the youth and empower them to become self reliant economically.

He also added that 750 million naira will be used for capital projects while 400 will be used on youth empowerment programs.
