3 ‘notable’ Katsina APC chieftains absent as Masari flagged-off reelection campaign
Some notable members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina were suspiciously absent in Funtua where Governor Aminu Bello Masari flagged-off his re-election campaign for the 2019 general election.
Those APC chieftains notably to have been absent include the Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman and Senator representing Katsina Central, Senator Ummar Kurfi Nzeribe.
This according to political commentators in the state, is not unconnected with the perceived crake between the APC party loyal to the Governor in the state and those considered as ‘Abuja political camp’ within the party.
While the duo of Senator Hadi Sirika and Hadiza Bala Usman are not being seen close to the Governor or at any government functions in the state, they are believed to be very close to the President Muhammadu Buhari.
It could be recalled that recently, Hadiza Bala Usman was included into the Presidential Campaign Council as Director Contact and Mobilization.
