Katsina APC blasts APC Akida faction, gives update on their court cases
The APC campaign council chairman in Katsina state, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa has cleared the air on the rumours being circulated that court had stop APC from conducting campaigns in the state.
Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa who is also the secretary to government of Katsina state told journalist in a question and answer session during a press briefing held at government house that the rumours are baseless.
Dr Mustapha Inuwa said the APC AKIDA went court only to demand for the cancellation of Congresses held in 16 out of 34 local governments in Katsina state.
He said the APC AKIDA did not join anybody from Katsina state but are challenging the APC national headquarters in the suit.
He revealed that the APC AKIDA instituted the same case in almost four courts of law in Katsina and Abuja.
Dr Mustapha said the case had been dismissed in three out of the four courts and expressed optimism that similar fate awaits the case in the other court.
He noted that it were in advanced democracies, they would have been charged for violation of court processes.
Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa assured APC faithfuls that the Governor Aminu Masari led government has performed creditably in office, adding that it would execute issues based campaigns.
Shedding more light, the APC state chairman, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu assured that the courts have not stopped APC from campaigns in the state.
Alhaji Shitu expressed hope that the APC campaigns would be given adequate coverage by working journalists in the state.
