Christians In Katsina Speaks on Credible 2019 Elections
Christians in Katsina state have called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and other political actors to ensure that the 2019 general elections are free, fair, and credible and violence free for citizens to continue enjoying the dividends of democracy.
This was the major message at the 2019 nine lessons and carol organised by the Saint Martin de Porres catholic church Katsina, northwest Nigeria as Christian faithful prepare to celebrate this year’s Christmas.
In the different messages delivered during the carol, associate priest of the church and Sokoto choir diocesan Rev. Father Francis Peter said, Nigerians should be prepared for the coming of the lord calling on leaders at all levels to ensure that, the people are well led.
On the 2019 general elections, reverend father peter is optimistic that the elections will be peaceful if the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and other major political players exhibit high sense of nationalism.
The high point of the 9 lessons and carol featured the Santa Claus, Mickey Mouse, and songs of praise among other side attractions.
