Pleasant Library and Book Club Receives Masari as Special Guest at the Commencement of Professional Diploma and Students Graduation

PLBC Professional Diploma in Teaching Skills and Classroom Management has commenced and the Exceutive Governor of Katsina State His Excellency Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, Secretary to the Katsina State Government, were among the dignitaries that graced the opening ceremony.

During the occaaion, the coodinator of Professional Diploma Dr. Muktar Alkasim highlighted the achievements recorded by PLBC especially towards improving the quality of teachers in the State, he mentioned that “in the last two and half years PLBC trained about 2500 teachers into various: (workshop/capacity building) across the three senatorial zones; Daura Funtua and Katsina, It also organised “Teachers Literacy Competion”; research for teachers of Primary and Secondry School and prizes were given to the best 15 researches, “Teachers Competency Test” for Primary and secondary teachers, “PLBC Extra Moral Activities” for WAEC/NECO leavers, “PLBC Book Drive”, PLBC Free C.B.T Training for Jamb Students and Special empowerment program for youth in Tailoring, knitting, Computer among other vocational training all for free to Katsina citizens.

In his remark, the President of PLBC Engr. Dr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma has called the attention of the state government in some difficulty being encountered in holding the Academic Conferences organised by PLBC in collaboration with Universities in Katsina State, as only the M.D Yusuf International Conference on Security in collaboration with Al-qalam University was successful.

His Excellency Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari who served as Special Guest at the occasion has made it very clear that; “Education and Human development were among those things himself and his administration considered as priorities, hence wouldn’t be played with politics. He added by applauding the effort and selflessness of the Sponsor (Engr. Darma) and the entire management of PLBC who worked so hard in contributing back to community, and he also assured his commitment to support and collaborate with PLBC to professionalise the teeming teachers in Katsina State. He (Gov Masari) donates 50 kniting machines to PLBC.

Prizes of computers, sewing and knitting machines were given to the best performing male and famale students by H.E Masari and SGS Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa.
