In what appeared to be a non-forgetful moment, robbers has yesterday night raided Kwasarawa Village in Sandamu Local Government where they robbed away millions of naira, mostly from business (Bureau De Change) men in the village, Katsina Post gathered.
Among the Victims include Alhaji Audu Takari – the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s Chairman for Sandamu Local Government. Alhaji Takari was reported to be robbed of more than 5 million naira cash.
The robbers were also reported to have robbed more people in the village including 3 of Alh. Takari’s neighbors.
In a worrisome development, Alh. Takari has informed Katsina Post that “since when the robbers stormed the village even before they started raiding us, I called Sabon Gari Police Headquarters Daura, Police Headquarters Sandamu, Zango Police Patrol Unit where I informed them of the situation. But none of the police showed up until in the morning hours. So disheartening” he concluded.
One man was also reported injured in the encounter after he refused to comply with the robber’s demand.
It could well be recalled that, months back; some set of robbers also attacked Rijiyar Tsamiya Village in Sandamu where they shot dead a renowned business mogul, Alhaji Ado Kero.
