Shema Vs EFCC: Court to rule on admissibility of the documents against Shema tomorrow

Katsina High Court sitting in Katsina metropolis along Daura Road has fixed tomorrow, November 12 for the continuation on the case before it between Katsina State ex-Governor, Ibrahim Shema and 3 others and EFCC for alleged diversion of N11bn Local government fund.

The judge, Ibrahim Maikaita Bako is expected to pronounce his ruling on the admissibility of some documents tendered in evidence by the EFCC against the accused when the trial continues tomorrow.

It could be recalled that during the proceedings on Tuesday, the 16th of October, an EFCC Senior Detective Superintendent, Abubakar Buba, told the court that he was among those who investigated the alleged financial crimes based on a petition.

He said the petition bordered on alleged diversion of public funds, contract inflation and abuse of office by Mr Shema during his tenure.

The judge, Ibrahim Maikaita Bako, therefore, adjourned the case to November 12, for ruling on the admissibility of the documents.
