The Katsina state governor, Aminu Bello Masari has approved the payment of three months allowances to recently recruited 5000 classroom teachers under spower programme.
Revealing the development on his social media account, Aminu Darma, Special Assistant to the governor on New Media said the payment will soon begin as directed by Gov. Masari.
He listed the months which to be paid include July, August and September respectively noting that all necessary arrangements has been concluded by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
Recalled that Katsina state governments has recruited 5000 unemployed NCE and ND graduates as primary school teachers as part of Gov. Masari’s effort in reducing unemployment in the state.
Katsina post reports that the state government has recently concluded the registration of the 2nd phase of Spower programme.
The 2nd phase of the programme is aimed to engage unemployed degree graduates to teach in Secondary schools across the state.
