The chairman of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Engr Usman Abubakar, who passed on at the age of 68 yesterday (Thursday) is to be buried in Abuja today (Friday) after Jumu’ah, Daily Trust reports.
The late Abubakar hailed from Sandamu local government in Katsina State.
He was appointed the chairman of NRC on September 27, 2016, by President Muhammadu Buhari. He served as commissioner of works in Katsina State in 1987.
At various times, he was the chairman Jebba Paper Mills, Daura Tannery, and Interlinked Technologies, a private company.
He is survived by a wife Hajiya Rabi Sule Maiyawo, and three children: Lawal Abubakar, Engr Buhari Abubakar and Engr Mustapha Abubakar.
