Governor Aminu Bello Masari has pledged that work on the survey for the construction of Dutsen Reme- Yankwani- Tafoki-Daudawa-Bilbis road will commence before the year runs out.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was speaking when he received the former majority leader of Katsina state house of assembly, Alhaji Sani Liti Yankwani who led officials and members of Katsina Youth for social justice to defect from PDP to APC at government house council chamber, Katsina.
The Governor explained that the present administration had stopped the process of awarding contracts for road construction without carrying out survey on the road. The Governor explained that the essence of governance is to provide security of lives and property, stressing that leadership is about taking responsibilities.
Governor Masari observed that the 3 and a half years of president Muhammad Buhari’s administration had shown that human development is the cornerstone of the APC administration in the country.
He lamented that leaders in the past had been found culpable of telling lies to the citizenry at will but APC is trying to turn round the fortunes of governance for improved wellbeing of the people.
The Governor used the visit to advise women to engage in skill acquisition for entrepreneurship. He also spoke at length on the need for youths to engage in various trades for self reliance.
Earlier, the leader of delegation, Alhaji Sani Liti Yankwani explained that he and the youths for social justice decided to decamp from PDP to APC because of the sterlin qualities of Governor Aminu Bello Masari.
Alhaji Sani Yankwani explained that such qualities include forgiveness, generosity and humbleness. He used the visit to request for the construction of Dutsen Reme – Yankwani- Tafoki- Daudawa – Bilbis road.
Alhaji Sani Yankwani asked asked for the rehabilitation, upgrading and expansion of Day secondary school Yankwani, which he said had six blocks of two classrooms each adding that Dutsen Reme primary school too needed to be upgraded to the status of a storey building.
Also speaking, the chairman of Katsina Youths for social justice, Comrade Ma’aruf Kabir Idris showered encomiums on Governor Masari for the monumental achievements in the provision of infrastructure such as roads, renovation of schools and hospitals as well as provision of empowerment packages. These achievements , he said made the group to agree with their patron,Alhaji sani Yankwani to decamp to All Progressives Congress APC.
The Women leader in the Group, Hajiya Rahama Muhammad said they were moved to join the APC by the empowerment packages delivered to women in the state.
