The Emir of Daura, HRH Alhaji Umar Farouq Umar has conferred the traditional title of ‘Bungel Lamido of Daura’ to the Muhammadu Buhari’s last born daughter, Hanan Muhammadu Buhari.
The conferment ceremony which occurred at the Emir’s palace last week was attended by friends, relatives, and wellwishers from both the President Muhammadu Buhari and the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari’s families.
It could be recalled that some time ago, the Emir conferred the traditional title of Bayajidda II to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Katsina Post also recently reported that the Emir of Daura Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq has approved the traditional title of “Garkuwan Hausa” to the eldest son of late Sardunan Katsina Alhaji Ibrahim Coomassie.
This was contained in a notification letter of appointment written by the emirate council and signed by his majesty Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar on 10th, September 2018.
According to the latter, the appointment of Ahmadu (Babangida Coomassie has a long history of his father’s dedication and commitment towards the development of Traditional rulers and their empires; his immense contribution as regards the northern progression and national development.
