The identity of the Katsina pilgrim who slumped and died yesterday while boarding a return flight at the Jeddah International Airport has been revealed.
According to our sources, the Late pilgrim who hailed from Kusada local government is Abdullahi Adamu Damuna.
Damuna, aged 40 slumped at customs point during his final screening point on his way to be airborne.
Damuna, was rushed to hospital were he was confirmed dead.
Eye witness on the state’s third flight in which the deceased belonged said there was confusion at the spot as pilgrims and officials rushed to provide support.
Officials of the state pilgrim welfare board are yet to issue an official statement but confirmed the incident on anonymity.
