The Eid-El-Kabir holidays ended on a sad note for the family of a 35-year-old man in Katsina State as he died in a lone accident on Wednesday night on his way home after an outing, Punch reports.
The deceased, simply identified as Ahmed, died after he lost control of his motorcycle after running into a speed breaker in the Modoji area of the Katsina metropolis.
He reportedly hit a street light and died on the spot.
The Federal Road Safety Corps Sector Commander for Katsina, Godwin Ngueku, who confirmed the development, said the accident occurred about 8.30pm on Wednesday.
He said his men evacuated Ahmed’s corpse from the scene of the accident to the General Hospital, Katsina, adding that the motorcycle had been released to the deceased’s family.
