The younger brother to the Late President Ummaru Musa Yar’adua and Mutawallen Katsina, Rtd. Colonel Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua has finally shown his interest to contest for the seat of Katsina central zone Senatorial Seat in the coming 2019 general elections.

This was confirmed to our reporter by some one who is very close to the retired army officer and who pleaded for anonymity.

When asked by our reporter on which party platform he would contest, our source said he would contest under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It could be recalled that Alhaji Abdulaziz Yar’adua popularly known as Audu Soja was a running mate to Senator Lado Dan Marke when he contested for Katsina Governorship in 2011 under the defunct CPC.

In 2015, Audu Soja also contested for gubernatorial ticket under the All Progressives Congress but was defeated along other contestants by Governor Aminu Bello Masari.

Audu Soja also contested for Katsina constituency House of Representatives ticket in the APC in 2015 bye-election but was defeated by the incumbent Alhaji Sani Aliyu Danlami.
