The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) said that the defection of Senator Abdu Yandoma to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was a great relief to the party.
The state chairman of PRP, Alhaji Hassan Hamisu in an interview with Katsina post said, Abdu Yandoma has become greatest obstacle to the progress of the party.
He said that “Abdu Yandoma is neither the backbone nor the key stakeholder of the party as widely assumed. He is just an ordinary member like any other individuals in the party”.
He said that PRP stand to loose nothing with his defection adding that the party in the state will continue to grow stronger with his exit.
He revealed that PRP only deserves politicians with an ideological mind not power mongers as defined by the indecipherable defection attitudes of Yandoma.
He described the defector as right wing politician who believe in the philosophy of “Defection” and did not belong to the redemption group.
“Politics of Defection from political party is a common habit of Yandoma, we all knew this. I assured you that he may proceed further to other party possibility to APC from PDP”.
“With the exit of Yandoma, many vibrant politicians have expressed their interests in joining our party as I am speaking to you.” He added.
He however, reiterates the commitment of the party toward providing equity to all card carrying members irrespective of their status.
Senator Abdu Yandoma is a former Senator representing Daura senatorial zone from 1999-2003 and former chairman Senate Committee on Petroleum, Solid Minerals and Mines.
