The management of Al-qalam University Katsina has reacted over allegations of immorality on her students that are residents of Sardauna estate or elsewhere.

The management stated that, Al-qalam University is deeply committed toward ensuring high level of morale both to character and learning to it’s students.

This was contained in a statement signed by the University’s head of public affairs unit, Akilu A. Akilu and sent to the Katsinapost.

According to the statement, reinforcement of Islamic morals and attitude is one of the obvious ideology of the Varsity’s founding fathers.

“The attainment of this objective is cardinal to the vision of the founding fathers to establish a university that would uphold and inculcate Islamic moral value in our younger generation and society as a whole.”

More so, the management is on indefatigable fidelity towards pursuing high standard of moral attitude, decent behavior, academic malpractices and avoidance of other miscreants attitude.

“The management has shown, over years, its total commitment to this objective and would continue to pursue and implement the laws and regulations pertaining to descent behavior, moral misconduct and all other forms of academic malpractices .” he added.

The management also stated that, it recently expelled 16 of her students and suspended 9 others inline of ensuring high level of Islamic morals in the varsity.

“Similarly, the university is keeping eye on its male students who are living off campus and in particular, those renting apartments at Sardauna Housing estate.”

Furthermore, the management of Al-qam University articulated that, in line with its commitment; the management held a meeting last year with the estate managers of Sardauna Housing estate, attended by former DPO of Batagarawa police division on the need to help instil Islamic moral standard on their students.

The varsity also ensured that measures are already put in place and ready to implement without late or hindrance.

Lastly, the management of Al-qalam stated that , it already set machinery ito fully investigate and punish acts constituting anti Islamic social behaviors in all stand.

It could be recalled that recently the residents of Sardauna Housing estate dragged Al-qalam University students before state government over allegation of drug abuse and others miscreants behavior.
