Governor Masari delivers on his promises – Mustapha Inuwa
The Secretary to the state Government said Governor Masari Administration has delivered dividends of democracy to the people of Katsina state in the last three years.
Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa made this assertion while delivering his speech at Danmusa Local Government during the swearing in of Local Government Council Caretakers.
According to him, the Masari led administration has scored high in areas of infrastructural development, security, education, agriculture and healthcare. He said the government has been able to positively touch the lives of the people in all these areas.
According to him, while the administration was faced with mounting problems at its inception, it had surmounted them and trudged ahead to set the state on the path of development. He said, the Administration has delivered on most of its electoral promises and is on the verge on delivering more.
He added that the difference is the will to serve the common man judiciously and selflessly. “Let us start from the promise of Employment, it has been fulfilled as this administration had employed thousands of people in the education and Health sector.”
He sighted the current S-power programme that has taken over 5000 people out of the labour market, which is unprecedented in the history of the state.
He further illustrated that during campaign administration promised economic revival through agriculture and this has been achieved through various interventions which include provision of fertlizer at affordable rate to farmers across the state.
Educating and orientation of farmers on modern farming technique and various Agricultural programme aimed at getting educated and younger people to begin to see agriculture as a means of civilization practiced with dignity. The state is trying to create a new crop of farmers that would be exemplary.
He also reiterated that the government is building link roads across the state, adding that this administration in partnership with federal Government is completing the Zobe dam water supply to Katsina.
The SGS said that Masari administration restored security in all parts of the state through Various interventions, a provision of patrol vans, communications equipment and by giving all the necessary support for security agencies.
