The Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, six Governors in the North West zone, seven ministers and APC leaders would be in Katsina to attend the grand campaign rally in Daura today for the upcoming Daura zone Senatorial district seat bye-election slated to hold on 11th of August, 2018.

This was disclosed to by the secretary to the government of Katsina state, Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa during an APC stakeholders meeting held in the state government house and presided by the Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari yesterday.

Addressing the participants that included Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, the secretary to the government of Katsina state, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa announced that the meeting was convened to deliberate on ways to ensure the success of APC in the bye-election as well as the success of the grand campaign rally to be held on Thursday this week in Daura.

The secretary to the government of Katsina state announced that stakeholders would be posted to the 1577 polling units, 128 wards and 12 local government areas in the senatorial zone. Dr. Mustapha Inuwa remarked that the importance of the senatorial zone to APC could not be over quantified as president Muhammad Buhari comes from there.

He cautioned against stakeholders engaging in acts that could void the elections, especially ballot box snatching.

He asked APC stakeholders to consider themselves as the ones wearing Ahmed Babba kaita’s shoes and work for his victory.

The state APC chairman, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu assured that the leadership of the party would join other stakeholders to ensure total victory In the bye-elections.

Earlier, the state vice chairman the APC in Funtua zone, Alhaji Bala Abubakar Musawa advised stakeholders to stay put at the venue of the elections before, during and at the end of counting of the votes for total success.
