Masari Swears in Idris Tune as Katsina State’s New Head of Service
The Katsina State Governor, Rt Honourable Aminu Bello Masari has sworn in Alhaji Idris Usman Tune as the new Head of Service of the state Today.
The Governor urged Alhaji Tune to use his wealth of experience to transform the state’s civil service for prompt and effective service delivery.
He cited various efforts being made in training and retraining of the state work force for effective service delivery.
At the swearing in ceremony held at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office in the state capital, the Governor told the new Head of Service that the immediate responsibility before him is to build on the gains of the recent reforms and re-alignment the current administration has undertaken in the civil service.
He assured that his administration will continue to appoint based on merit.
The governor said that the appointment is in line with the practice of his administration to continually select and appoint experienced, dedicated and tested professionals to key positions in the government.
He advice the new Head of Service not mixed politics with civil service, and should not betray the confidence reposed in him by the people of the state.
It could be recalled that katsinapost.com.ng had earlier reported exclusively that he had been appointed as the state’s substantive Head of service to succeed Alhaji Sanda Mani who is going to retire at the end of this month.
