– Number of intending pilgrims who paid for their hajj seat revealed
– Only 2,750 people will perform this year’s hajj from Katsina
The state executive Director of Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Muhammadu Abu Rimi has said no fewer than 2,750 intending Pilgrims from Katsina state so far paid for this years Hajj.
The Executive Director Disclosed this while speaking with NTA news crew in his office said all arrangement have been concluded for the successful airlift of intending pilgrims from Katsina state.
Alhaji Muhammadu Abu Rimi explained that the state pilgrims welfare board receive over 4,800 sits alocation from the national Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) this year, adding that the total number of the pilgrims who now paid their hajj sit in the state is encouraging considering other state in the federation.
The Executive Director who spoke on the readiness of the board to commenced the airlift of Intending pilgrims from Katsina state to the Holy land said the newly introduced (BASMA) which Means Bio data capture by the Saudi Consulate Kano is going on successfully.
He further said very soon the board will commenced the distribution of uniforms and hand luggage to the pilgrims while the vaccination and mandatory classes for the Pilgrims is on going across the state.
