Katsina high court gives verdict on case challenging validity of the APC congresses
High Court five Katsina has struck out a case filed by one Surajo and 219 others challenging the validity of the APC Congresses held in the State.
The presiding Judge, Justice Abbas Bawale said the claims of the plaintiffs could not stand since they failed to lodge their complaints before the Party’s Appeal Committee as provided by its constitution.
In addition the Plaintiffs are not legitimate members of the party because their names were not in the party’s register and they failed to produce their membership cards.
Thus, they lack the locus standi to challenge the activities conducted by the party.
Meanwhile, the other 2 suits challenging the APC Congresses were adjourned to 3rd August, 2018 for hearing.
