FG construct new structures for Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Malumfashi.
The Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has inspected work on the ongoing construction of a new Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Malumfashi.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was conducted round the ongoing construction of structures by the commanding officer of 17 Brigade Headquarters of the Nigerian Army in Katsina, Brigadier General Lukman Omuniyi at the site located along Funtua road in Malumfashi.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was pleased that the buildings had reached appreciable level of completion.
The Governor was accompanied by security heads in the state as well as politicians and members of the public during the visit.
It could be recalled that earlier this year, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the established of a new Army Division in Sokoto and brigades in Zamfara and Katsina States to check rising spate of armed banditry in the areas.
This decision was taken at the Security Council Meeting with heads of security agencies in the country.
