Police from Abuja recovers 5 stolen cars in Katsina

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory Special Anti-Robbery Squad have recovered five cars from receivers of stolen vehicles in Katsina, Punch reports.

The command also arrested four suspects in connection with the crime, including one Kabiru Adam, 32, and Lawal Umar, 40, who were identified as receivers of stolen cars in Abuja.

Parading the suspects on Friday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Sadiq Bello explained that Adamu and Umar led detectives to Katsina State, where five suspected stolen cars were recovered.

He stated that his men recovered one black Honda Accord, red Nissan Sunny, black Toyota Camry and two Toyota Corolla cars, all unregistered.

In addition, the CP stated that two notorious receivers of stolen cars were also nabbed in Abuja.

He disclosed that the suspects, Monday Oriyan and Emmanuel Onmonya, led police operatives to Makurdi and Kano where three cars were recovered.
