
Katsina lost prominent Islamic scholar
A Katsina State’s famous Islamic scholar and one of the leaders of the Darika movement in the state Sheikh Liman Sa’idu Alti Funtua has died yesterday, the 8th of July, 2018.
It would be recalled that the deceased was the founder and proprietor of famous Islamic school in Funtua known as HISBU RAHEEM.
The body of the deceased had since been buried according to the teaching of Islam.
In another development, the Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has paid a condolence visit to the family of a renowned Islamic scholar at his residence in Funtua today.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was received by the Sarkin Maska and District head of Funtua, Alhaji Sambo Idris Sambo, the former chairman of Local government service commission, Alhaji kabir Aliyu Maska and the brother of the deceased, Sheikh Liman Salisu Tasi’u among other Islamic scholars in Funtua.
The Governor prayed Allah to grant aljanna Firdausi to late sheikh Liman Sa’idu Alti Funtua and give the family the fortitude to bear with the irreparable loss.
Responding on behalf of the family, Sheikh Liman Salisu Tasi’u expressed gratitude to Governor Masari for the condolence visit.
He prayed that Allah Will reward the Governor abundantly and grant him more good health to continue to lead Katsina state to greater height.
