Katsina Commissioner convene high profile meeting with stakeholders in education

The Honourable Commissioner for Education Ass. Prof. Badamasi Lawal has on Thursday  5th of July  2018 convened a meeting with all stakeholders in Education sector in the State.
Issues discussed at the meeting boarder on how best to improve quality assurance in all the Primary and Secondary Schools across the State.
At the end of the meeting according to the State Ministry of Education public relations officer, the following resolutions were made:-

1) To Make monitoring officers effective by way of capacity building and other logistics for them discharge their duty effectively and efficiently.
2) An Itinerary for monitoring officers should be designed for guidance every term.

3) There is need to implore every means and ways to improve punctuality amongst Teachers and Students
4) All stakeholders should ensure proper utilization of running cost to achieve the purpose the money were meant for.

5) School Managers should try to imbibe and iimprove maintenance culture

6) Time and attendance book to be maintained and checked by School Managers those found at fault should be sanctioned appropriately.
7) Students should be made to understand the consequences of exam malpractice sensitized to Avoid it.
The Honourable Commissioner also announced at the meeting that all newly recruited S-Power Teachers in all the Local Government Areas should be posted to Schools by the Education Secretaries with immediate effect.
Those at the meeting include the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education Ibrahim G. Lawal, Directors of the Ministry, the Chairman SUBEB and PM Members I & II, Zonal Coordinators of the 12 Education Quality Assurance Zones, all the E S of the 34 Local Government Areas and other officials.
