Katsina gov’t to begin payment of scholarship to tertiary students soonest
Katsina State government has through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Higher Education, Bishir Usman Ruwangodiya said it will begin the disbursement of scholarship to tertiary students from the State from next week.
This was known to the public while he was making his remark yesterday during a grand iftar organised by the national body of the National Association of Katsina State Students (NAKATSS) for Katsina students in and outside the country at Soli Center, Katsina.
Ruwangodiya also apologise to the students for conducting the iftar lately towards the end of Ramadan and also ensured government commitment to the overall welfare of students.
While commending the executives for coming up with the idea of the iftar, Bishir Usman Ruwangodiya also enjoined both the students and their leaders to continue to be good ambassadors of the State in shunning exams malpractice, drug abuse and other social vices.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Power and Energy who spoke briefly also reminded the students not to joke with the last ten of Ramadan and remember to put the state in their prayers.
While making his remarks, the President of the NAKATSS national body, Comr. Musawa reaffirmed the association’s and the state’s students support to the Aminu Bello Masari-led administration.
Highlights of the occasion include the eating and drinking session as well as meet and greet session between Commrades from all nook and crannies of the State.
