Tension as 67 Katsina candidates “mysteriously” replaced on Police recruitment final list (Evidence)

Not fewer than 67 Katsina state candidates were mysteriously replaced with other candidates in the final list of the ongoing police recruitment.

Katsina post check revealed that 238 candidates who scored JAMB examinations were successfully selected for the medical screening at Zone 1 police headquarter, Sharadda, Kano.

However, things fall apart when 67 among the selected candidates were replaced with other individuals that did not appear on the medical screening list.

One of the affected candidate who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent “Some of the newly introduced candidates did not even go for the medical screening; some didn’t sit for the JAMB examination, their names is not on the preselected list.

“We have successfully undergone the medical screening, subjected to various medical checkup at the Zone 1 Police headquarters, Kano.”

“I was really traumatized by the fact that 67 of us were removed from the final list and replaced by those different people that didn’t even write for the examination.”

“If truly 67 of us failed the medical screening exercise which is not possible, at least we deserved to be better enlightened just as Nigeria army usually did to disqualified candidates”

“171 candidates are supposed to be in the final list, not 238, which means they sum the number up with the candidates of their choice.” He added

“Why will they introduced other people that are not in the pre-selected list including a non-indigene, an Igbo Man?”

“Honestly we demand Justice, Katsina state government should look into this situation.”

“Most of us are unemployed youths that has suffered much from the beginning of the recruitment exercise.”

“At the beginning, we are excited to have successfully passed the examination, but only to find out that our names have been replaced by other people because we don’t have anyone to stand for us.”

A source at Katsina state Directorate of Employment when contacted revealed that the government has written a letter of complaint on the issue to the chairman Police Service Commission and Senate Committee on Police Affairs and now waiting for their response.
