Katsina gov’t refunds N18m to last year’s State pilgrims
Katsina state government has refunded the sum of 18million naira to over 500 pilgrims who performed the last year hajj exercise following the intervention of the 2017 amirul hajj QS. Alh Mannir Yakubu.
This is contained In a statement by the senior special assistant to the deputy Governor on media Ibrahim Musa Kallah said the money was refunded to those who were poorly accommodated in mecca.
According to a statement each of the beneficiaries were given 27,000 as part of promise by the 2017 amirul hajj saying those in the 8th and 9th plight were the beneficiaries.
The statement quoted the Amirul hajj aa saying it became imperative to refund them the money due to the good intention of the present administration of Governor Aminu Bello Masari of improving the well being of the people.
He said there is no point to cheat or cause harm to any pilgrims in the Holy land.
Saying each of the pilgrims has the right to enjoy protection freedom and welfare from the state.
