‘Yar’adua carpets masari on agriculture, education and youth empowerment

Why I want to be Katsina State’s Governor – Ahmad ‘Yar’adua

A PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Katsina State, Ahmed Yar’adua has faulted some of the policies of the incumbent governor of the State, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari especially on Agriculture, education and youth empowerment saying that they were not comprehensive enough and lacking capacity to fast track growth and development.
Yar’adua, who made this observation in an exclusive interview with The Nation in Katsina and seen by katsinapost.com said the state government has also done little in uplifting both the economy of the state and improving the standard of living of the people through Agriculture and other social services.
On why he is aspiring for the governorship office, ‘Yar’adua said that the long years of experience he acquired both at the State and Federal civil service remain the major factor compelling him.
According to him, “If we must guarantee the future of our children and grand children, then we must get involve at the highest level in the State. I have a lot of ideas to deliver for the benefit of the people of the state as what we laboured to install is no more there.”
He noted with dismay the fact that the educational administration and management of the Teachers Service Board remain unchanged since the Ummaru Musa ‘Yar’adua administration which he also attributed to the lack of foresight of the current administration.
